history of new castle ministries
New Castle Ministries was established in January 2003.
The church building had been empty for many years after its previous Methodist congregation merged with another church. The opportunity to buy the building was given to Pastors Doug and Rae; and, through a series of miraculous events, a small group of individuals were able to purchase the property together.
The church's first service was held on the first Sunday in January with a group of no more than 10 people.
New Castle Ministries has loved being a part of the community. Throughout the years we have seen numerous changes, said hello and good-bye to many amazing people, experienced growth that only God could provide, and become a vital part of the New Castle community.
With prayer, perseverance, and faith, New Castle Ministries has ministered to the members of its congregation, the area, and the nations. We pray that we can continue to do the same for many years to come.
Pastors Doug and Rae Anderson have served at New Castle Ministries since its founding in 2003. They were called to ministry in 1990 when they whole-heartedly rededicated their lives to the Lord. They are blessed to be ordained by Pastor Jeff Johns of White Horse Christian Center in West Lafayette, IN. (whcc.net)
Pastor Doug is an artist and can make, fix, and do just about anything. His love for the Lord is passionate and without reservations. He shares the Word at every opportunity and longs to see people draw close to Jesus as they are born into the Kingdom.
Pastor Rae comes from a background of nursing, midwifery, and teaching in a Christian school. She has a mother's heart to raise up warriors for the Kingdom of God. She preaches to mature the sons and daughters of God and always has an ear tuned to the prophetic realm.
They lead the church as a team. Their desire is to equip and release a new generation as laborers in the harvest field.
New Castle Ministries has always been a Christ-centered, community and family oriented church.
Numerous prophetic words have been spoken over us to be a lighthouse in the community, a gatekeeper church, a hospital church, and a house of prayer. We are continually seeking to teach, train, and equip the body of Christ and shepherd the people of God.
Our mission is to be a true presence of God in the community and to steward a place where Heaven has invaded earth. We want to be prepared and prepare others for Christ's return as He comes back to claim His church as a pure and spotless bride. It's all about His Kingdom, His honor, and His glory.
We strive to support local ministries through prayer, offerings, and support. We offer meals to anyone in need. We support missions and missionaries around the world. We are blessed to send out those of our own congregation on mission trips. We have various evangelistic ministries to reach the unsaved. We open the church for numerous conferences and guest speakers throughout the year. We believe that all ages and generations are important and can share the love of Jesus Christ.
We have a passion for His Kingdom and His glory.
"It is God Himself who has made us what we are and given us new lives from Christ Jesus;
and long ages ago He planned that we should spend these lives in helping others."
